Hippity Hoppity...

I don't have any really great Easter stories.

There was the one time that my parents took us to church on Easter. It was Lutheran. That is the only time my I've ever been in a church with my parents. We weren't a religious family.

Oh, and I remember a time when we went to some friends' of ours' house... Maggie and Ken. They had some land, and had some geese and chickens and rabbits and dogs, and a treehouse I always wanted to go in, but it was never safe. Maggie hid some eggs for all the kids, and she hid one goose egg. Whoever found the goose egg won $5.00. I didn't find it. I'm sure it was one of the mean older kids.

And there was the one time when I was a teenager...
My mom always hid eggs and always hid baskets for me and my brother no matter how old we got. This particular year she got us baskets, but decided not to hide them, she just set them on the coffee table. My brother and I woke up to find our dog, Bear, had eaten most of our candy and chocolate.
Normally we left Bear home when we would go places, but we brought him with us when we went over to my grandparents house. He was throwing up all day, and I was sure he would not make it through the day. But he did.

There was the time I was very young, this is the first Easter I remember. My mom dyed and hid eggs all over the house... ok... the Easter Bunny did it, of course. I also found one out near my sandbox. It was different than the other ones, and had a clown on it. My mom had no idea how it got there.
I'm still certain to this day that the Easter Bunny really did at least leave that mysterious egg for me.

Happy Easter everyone!!

What about the Easter when you made deviled eggs with lots of red spice on top because everyone puts that red stuff on top of their eggs...but you mistakenly put chili powder instead of paprika? Isn't that a great Easter story?!

Thanks everyone!

Umm... Anonymous... I have no idea what you're talking about. My deviled eggs turn out perfect all the time. You must be thinking of someone else.
And, are you who I think you are? Because if you are I'm not sure how you even had time to post a comment. But, if you are who I think you are... Love and miss ya!
